CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EM-NN-FW is a control unit for IndraDrive controllers made by Bosch. It is one of the four primary controller components, the other ones being firmware, a control panel and a power section. The control unit mounts onto the power section. As per standard practice, Bosch supplies controllers as fully assembled units. When supplied separately, the components must be assembled by trained professionals. Operation and maintenance of the controller must be carried out by trained personnel who have read and understood relevant instructions contains in the product documentation. Controller components must be protected from electro-static discharge. Recommended ambient conditions for controller storage and operation are specified in the product documentation. Use of the controller and associated equipment outside the recommended conditions can lead to component failure, and must be avoided.

CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EM-NN-FW is a modular device with four optional hardware modules. These include an encoder emulation module, a multi-encoder interface module, a safety module with safe torque off (STO) support and a Multi-Ethernet module. In addition, the CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EM-NN-FW features SERCOS III master communication. All these modules provide operators with a great deal of flexibility for controller use. Several other optional modules are available from Bosch, and can be used to match control units to different applications. The control panel supplied with the CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EM-NN-FW is a standard control panel. It does not support hog plug i.e. it must be connected when the control unit is switched off. Type plates attached to the controller allow easy identification and verification of components and their specifications. The firmware type allows identification of the firmware version. The control unit type plate provides information related to specifications about any optional hardware installed on the unit.
