Product Description

CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EC-NN-FW is a fully-loaded control unit for Bosch IndraDrive controllers. All four slots for optional hardware are equipped with factory-installed modules. The module installed in Slot 1 is a multi-encoder interface module which allows controller operation with Bosch motor encoders that operate at 5 Volts DC and 12 Volts DC. The module installed in Slot 2 is a Multi-Ethernet interface module which allows controller connection to Ethernet networks and transmission at 100 Mbps. The module installed in Slot 3 is a safety module that supports safe torque off or STO. This safety feature is designed to disable motor torque generation by disabling the motor output torque. It helps to prevent accidents and injuries caused by unintentional motor shaft rotation. When activated, the STO function cuts power to the motor, causing the motor to come to a controlled stop.

Benefits of STO include safety for personnel working on the motor or in the vicinity of the motor. Slot 4 on the BCSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EC-NN-FW features another multi-encoder interface module. This means that the controller based on this control unit can interface with and control two independent servo motors. In addition to these optional modules, the CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EC-NN-FW control unit features SERCOS III master communication. SERCOS is a high-speed standard for serial communication. It conforms to the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet communication standard and supports speeds of up to 100 Mbps for fast and reliable network communication. Control unit configuration requires a standard control panel. This panel mounts on front side of the control unit. A 4-button keypad and LCD display allow easy controller configuration. Firmware for the CSH02.5B-CC-EC-ET-L3-EC-NN-FW unit must be ordered separately. Type plates attached to the unit allow easy identification and verification.
