The CP2216-0020 is an industrial panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. Intended for direct installation on processing or packaging equipment, the unit combines display, computing, and PLC functions so operators can enter commands, monitor variables, and log process data from one device. Its integrated architecture reduces cabinet space and wiring because the processor, storage media, and field interfaces are located immediately behind the touchscreen.
The aluminum front of the housing is sealed to IP65, enabling washdown cleaning, while the rear section carries an IP20 rating for cabinet-side ventilation. Two independent GbE interfaces support redundant networking; port one uses an Intel i219 controller and port two uses an Intel i210 controller, and the dual ports support line lengths up to 100 m with standard CAT-x cabling. The unit has 2 LAN sockets, which helps separate control traffic from information-network connections. A 3.5-inch motherboard hosts an fTPM 2.0 secure element for hardware-based key storage, and power is supplied externally through an eight-pin 24 V DC socket rated for 16 A. One 2.5-inch HDD/SSD bay and a CFast slot provide fixed and removable storage options for operating systems and historical data.
Legacy equipment can connect through the dedicated RS232 interface, and the unit also has 4 USB 3.0 receptacles for service tools or barcode scanners. Video mirroring to a remote monitor is available through the DVI output, which allows a second viewing station on large machines. The front assembly weighs 6.7 kg, so a standard VESA swing arm can support it without counterweights. Continuous operation from 24 V DC matches typical control-cabinet power supplies, and the eight-pin connector carries both supply voltage and signaling ground to reduce wiring errors.
