Product Description:
The CP2216-0010 is a 16-inch panel PC from Beckhoff that belongs to the CP Panel PC Systems series. It serves as both a controller and an operator terminal at the machine front end. Machine builders can run TwinCAT control software and present process graphics on the same device, reducing the need for separate control and display hardware.
This model is fitted with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, which provides system memory for the real-time operating system and user programs. Mass data, such as recipes or log files, are stored on a 320 GB, 2.5-inch hard disk that mounts inside the housing and supports standard SATA imaging tools. Visual output can be duplicated on an external monitor through one DVI-I interface (X103). Network traffic is handled by two RJ45 ports (X108 and X109), enabling one port to connect to the machine LAN and the other to support plant-wide diagnostics without additional switches. For removable media or service devices, the computer provides four USB 2.0 connectors (X104–X107) on the rear panel. Graphics processing is integrated into the CPU package, eliminating the need for a discrete GPU and reducing heat inside the enclosure. A single RS-232 channel on X102 provides legacy serial connectivity for barcode scanners or weighing terminals. The projected-capacitive screen recognizes multi-finger gestures for rapid menu navigation.
The computer operates from a 24 VDC supply, allowing it to draw power directly from a common control-cabinet power rail. Its aluminum housing and glass front provide the display area with IP65 protection, while the rear electronics compartment remains at IP20 to support efficient convection cooling. The computer can be stored at temperatures as low as -25 °C and as high as +65 °C, allowing shipment and warehouse storage before installation. Multi-finger touch input is detected across the full panel surface even when operators wear thin industrial gloves. The anodized housing finish resists cleaning agents commonly used on food-processing lines.
