The CP2213-0020 is a fanless panel PC assembled by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines a 13-inch multitouch display with an integrated motherboard and I/O, giving machine builders a single front-mounted unit for visualization, data logging, and soft PLC execution. Mounted on the control cabinet door, the panel connects directly to fieldbus-enabled drives and sensors, simplifying wiring and reducing enclosure space requirements in industrial automation cells.
The unit draws its logic and backlight power from a nominal 24 V DC supply routed through a pluggable connector rated at 16 A. Individual conductors may be sized up to 1.5 mm², providing flexibility when assembling low-voltage harnesses. The glass and bezel provide IP65 protection, but the rear housing provides only IP20 protection, so the enclosure interior must remain clean and dry. Network traffic reaches the CPU through two Ethernet ports on the back, while display mirroring is available through a single DVI-I connector. Additional peripheral connections include four USB Type-A sockets, one RS-232 serial interface, and an 8-pin power socket. The complete assembly weighs 5.2 kg, keeping the load on the cabinet door moderate and making the unit suitable for front-panel installation.
Integrated backup power is provided by an internal UPS that feeds the logic rail at 27 V and can supply 2.5 A for an orderly system shutdown during a loss of mains power. Removable storage devices and barcode readers connect through four USB ports, while legacy devices interface with the single RS-232 line. Security-sensitive keys are stored in the onboard fTPM 2.0 secure element, enabling encrypted startup and certificate handling for EtherCAT or OPC UA installations. The internal UPS gives the operating system enough time to close active files and stop running processes before power is exhausted. The serial and network connections support communication with both legacy equipment and modern industrial control systems. Its fanless design also avoids fan noise and prevents cooling fan wear during continuous operation.
