The AX8810-0000-0000, chassis number type is a capacitor module which is meant for increasing the amount of DC link capacitance in Beckhoff servo drive systems. This module is very important in helping the DC link by capturing and cooling voltage spikes caused during motor braking therefore improving overall energy efficiency. Since temporary power is also connected to the motor in case of any interruptions, this regenerative energy is stored in the AX8810 thus limiting the need of the use of brake resistors.
