Product Description:
The AX8810-0000-0000 is a digital servo drive module produced by Beckhoff and placed within the AX Digital Servo Drives series. It serves as the power interface between the mains supply and servo motors in automated machinery, supplying controlled DC-link energy that connected axis modules convert into precise motion. In EtherCAT-based control architectures, the module supports coordinated positioning, speed regulation, and torque control across packaging lines, material-handling stations, and other industrial equipment. In a typical multi-axis arrangement, it supports a shared power structure that helps multiple servo axes operate from a common DC bus.
The internal energy store uses a capacitance of 1755 µF, and this reservoir smooths current on the shared DC bus during load transients. The permitted DC link rises to 848 VDC, allowing the unit to work with high-voltage supply sections without overstressing its power semiconductors. Cabinet space is minimized by a body width of 60 mm, a depth of 192 mm, and a height of 230 mm. Its compact outline supports dense stacking of multiple axes in one enclosure, and its mass of 1.9 kg helps keep panel handling straightforward during installation.
The unit supports continuous operation up to 40 °C. Above this temperature, output current is reduced by 2% per kelvin, and operation can continue to a derated ceiling of 55 °C when panel heat cannot be removed fast enough. Altitude is also a factor, with a 1% power drop for every 100 m above sea level and a functional limit of 3000 m. Humid production areas are tolerated because the electronics can withstand a relative humidity of 95 % without condensation. For storage and transport, the unit may be held down to -25 °C, stored up to +55 °C, and transported up to +70 °C.
