The B&R 8DI ACOPOS Motors series is a decentralized servo motor platform that combines motor and drive electronics in a single housing for distributed motion-control applications.
The series is available in multiple motor sizes and lengths, with configurations that vary by encoder type, nominal speed, safety technology, shaft design, oil seal, holding brake, and optional external connection features. Across the range, the motors use EnDat 2.2 inductive encoder systems in single-turn or multi-turn versions, with functional-safety variants available and SafeMOTION options supporting integrated safety functions such as STO, SS1, SS2, SOS, SLS, SMS, SDI, SLI, SLA, SLP, SMP, Safe Homing, and remanent safe position. Mechanical options include smooth or keyed shaft ends, optional Form A oil seals, size-dependent holding brakes, and optional fan kits for improving nominal performance on certain sizes.
