Product Description:
The 8DI330.D90457700-1 is a servo motor module produced by B&R Automation for the 8DI ACOPOS Motors series. Within an ACOPOS multi-axis system, the motor provides closed-loop torque and position control for conveyors, pick-and-place axes, and tooling spindles. Integrated encoder feedback allows the unit to report shaft position to the motion controller, reducing the amount of separate feedback wiring required inside automated machinery. The module is suitable for coordinated applications in which the controller must regulate speed, position, and torque while monitoring operating status.
The drive section supports a rated speed of 4500 rpm. Its multi-turn encoder resolves 4096 mechanical revolutions with 12-bit resolution and retains absolute position information after power is removed. Position data is transmitted through the EnDat 2.2 protocol, allowing the motion controller to receive precise feedback during operation. An additional network port provides a POWERLINK connection for integration into a daisy-chain network topology. A factory-mounted holding brake secures vertical loads when the drive is disabled. Two 24 V DC outputs and two trigger inputs allow the module to switch connected sensors or actuators without separate I/O cards. The module has configuration version 1, size code 3, and length code 3, allowing it to fit the corresponding ACOPOS mounting frame. The encoder uses an inductive operating principle that reduces sensitivity to dust and oil in industrial environments.
The permitted axial thrust is 1400 N, which protects the bearings from excessive loading during belt tensioning or gear engagement. Radial runout accuracy is maintained within ±120 arcseconds to support repeatable shaft positioning. The hardwired safety architecture separates the Safe Torque Off channel from fieldbus communication, allowing the safety function to operate independently of network messages. Shock resistance is rated at ≤2,000 m/s², supporting operation in machinery exposed to brief mechanical impacts. Vibration tolerance reaches ≤400 m/s² or ≤600 m/s², depending on the test axis, for installation on moving gantries and other dynamic equipment. An internal oil seal helps retain lubricant and limits contaminant entry around the shaft. The keyed shaft end provides positive engagement with compatible pulleys, gears, or rigid couplings.
