The Sanyo Denki PMM PentaSYN Servo Drives series is a family of drive units built to operate SANYO DENKI’s five-phase PentaSYN motors in industrial positioning and motion-control applications.
The series was developed in both AC and DC input forms, with official materials describing versions for 0.75 A/phase and 1.5 A/phase motors as well as network-capable variants intended for connection with PLC- and PC-based control systems. Design emphasis was placed on smooth low-speed operation, and the line incorporated microstepping functions that allowed finer resolution and improved running characteristics compared with basic full-step operation. SANYO DENKI also positioned these drives for easier system integration through features such as built-in pulse generation on certain models, support for multi-drop or daisy-chain style network wiring, and cabinet-friendly mounting compatibility with related control hardware.
