Product Description:
The PMM-BA-5641-8 Stepping Driver is designed for controlling various 5 phase stepping motors. It supports a wide motor range without adjustment. The driver provides compact size with enhanced torque output using dedicated ICs. Its integrated features enable precise motion control while maintaining high reliability and smooth stable operation under industrial conditions.
The PMM-BA-5641-8 stepping driver operates on a single phase AC 100/115V input with a frequency of 50/60Hz and allows for a ± 10 % to – 15 % voltage range. It draws a source current of 4 A. The internal control system enables low vibration operation for smooth motor movement. Input commands are processed via photocoupler input systems with 330 Ω resistance. Signal voltages range from 4.0 to 5.5 V at “H” level and 0 to 0.5 V at “L” level. Maximum command input frequency of the driver is 100 k pulses per second. The device includes both command pulse input and power down input functionality. Vibration resistance is rated at 0.5 G for 2 hours along X, Y and Z axes in the 10 – 55 Hz range. Impact resistance meets the NDS-C-0110 standard. The driver withstands 1500 V AC between input terminal and cabinet for one minute and ensures a minimum insulation resistance of 10 MΩ with a 500 V DC Megger.
The PMM-BA-5641-8 stepping driver by Sanyo Denki weighs 1.2 kg and includes protection features against permanent magnet driver overheating. The driver supports built in functions like pulse input system selection using dipswitches and operation current switchover from rated to 40 % using a rotary switch. It also includes automatic current reduction, excitation mode switching, low vibration support and alarm monitoring. An LED indicator is available for power, phase origin, pulse status and alarms.
