Product Description:

The R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 motor remains the a trusted motor for many users inindustrial automation activities and applications, and is currently one of the few technologies changing the world of automation technology and automation industry.

The motor has a 32-bit floating point signal processor that allows it to be an adequate servo motor for countless number of industrial automation applications, with an exceptional peer-to-peer coupling feature or a synchrolink property that achieve a fast communication process between many drive systems working together.

The R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 motor is equipped with powerful capacitors which are made of aluminum, and these capacitors power the supply modules and converter of the motor. In addition to all these, the motor comprise a connecting voltage between 380 and 480V with a 10V margin of error for the converter, and as an accessory, a built-in brake chopper is available for the motor's converter. Of great importance is the 200% thermal overload capacity of the motor for 0.5 second or 170% thermal overload capacity for a period 1 second.

Pacific Scientific laid down some advice for the optimum use of the motor, such as a dust free environment, an ambient 0 to 40°C operating environment, the total avoidance of condensation around the motor, and a relative humidity that shouldn't be more than 90% at any motor operation period. The motor should not be mounted at an elevation of 1,000m more than the sea level, and an appropriate space of 100m both above and below the mounted motor to ensure adequate airflow and proper dissipation of heat produced by the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 motor. A motor operated in such recommended environment has two years warranty from the manufacturer.

Drive LED / symptom Likely cause on an R45-frame axis Quick corrective action
2 blinks – Motor over-temperature Winding thermistor ≥155 °C – high ambient (>40 °C) or load exceeds 10 Nm cont. rating Clean shroud, restore airflow, check duty cycle vs. 6.8 Nm cont. (61 lb-in) spec; let cool and re-enable
3 blinks – Drive over/under-temp Cabinet ≥45 °C or drive fan clogged → heatsink >100 °C Reduce ambient, replace or unblock fan/filter, clear fault
4 blinks – Drive I·t trip during long accel RMS torque request > 6.8 Nm for > thermal time Lengthen accel ramp, retune current limits, verify sizing
5 blinks – Motor I²t trip after repeated cycles Average load > continuous torque; fan clogged Compare motion profile to spec; if unchanged, choose R45HC/HJ winding for extra torque
7 blinks – Bus over-voltage on fast stop Brake resistor open / undersized or decel too steep Ohm-check resistor, add larger brake, increase decel time
8 blinks – Bus under-voltage at enable AC line sag, undersized transformer or DC supply Measure mains, stiffen supply or add line reactor
9 blinks – Motor phase short immediately on enable Coolant/oil in MS connector or pinched cable Megger windings (>500 MΩ), reseat connector, replace cable
10 blinks – Peak over-current hitting a hard stop Impact load > 48 lb-ft (64 Nm) peak or shaft jam Fix mechanical jam, lower peak torque limit to 64 Nm
11 blinks – Hall / resolver fault Resolver cable loose, shield open, resolver mis-phased Reseat 10-pin feedback plug, run resolver alignment
19 blinks – Position error too large Loose coupling, belt slip, gains too low for 25 kg·cm² inertia Tighten couplings, raise position P-gain 10 %, rerun autotune

Frequently Asked Questions about R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00:

Q: What is the advantage of the frameless resolver in the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 motor?

A: The frameless motor resolver integrated into the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 motor have a simple design with no electronic component inside the sensor itself. This makes the motor less suceptible to electromagnetic interference.

Q: What type of industrial application is the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 motor suited for?

A: The R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 industrial motor is particularly suitable for industrial machines where compactness precision and weight considerations is important. Example of these industrial machines include metal forming machines, paper processing machines, handling machines, and lots more.

Q: Is the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 resistant to vibration?

A: The robust design of the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 industrial brushless motor only provides it with mild protection against vibration. The exposure of the motor to extreme vibration can lead to motor faliure.

Q: What material is used to make the magent in the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 motor?

A: The magnet present in the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 industrial motor is made of samarium cobalt. The special magnetic material has a smaller size and generate a high torque.

Q: Is the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 industrial motor resistant against humidity?

A: The housing of the R45HENA-R2-NS-NV-00 industrial motor is covered with a special coating which protects the motor from rapid deterioration that can be caused by humidity. The maximum ambient relative humidity level for this motor is 95%.
