The R4 Combivert Regenerative Units series is a line of feedback units designed to return energy from the DC bus of connected frequency inverters back to the mains instead of dissipating it as heat through braking resistors.
The series is intended for use with 200 V and 400 V class inverter systems operating three-phase induction motors, particularly in applications with partial or continuous regenerative operation and accessible DC-bus connections. Available units cover a wide performance range, with versions rated from 7 kVA up to 83 kVA, while also offering high conversion efficiency, IP20 protection, and cabinet-mounted designs in multiple housing sizes. The series also supports application flexibility through features such as programmable digital and analog control I/O, diagnostic and parameter access through an operator or PC software, and the ability to expand feedback capacity by operating multiple units in parallel. In addition to regenerative service, certain configurations can also function as a DC supply unit for one or more compatible frequency inverters sharing a common DC bus.
