KEB manufactures the 21.R4.T60-1019 as part of its R4 Combivert Regenerative Units series. This regenerative power module connects to the DC link of compatible inverters and channels excess braking energy back to the supply network instead of wasting it as heat. The recovered power improves overall energy efficiency in automated conveyor lines, test stands, and packaging stations. Within a multi-axis system, the module provides a common return path so individual drives can decelerate without separate braking resistors, lowering cabinet temperature, reducing component count, and simplifying thermal management inside the electrical enclosure.
The unit uses a submounted installation style, so the assembly bolts beneath a main drive stack rather than occupying separate rail space. Its fixing points have a 6.5 mm hole diameter that accepts standard M6 hardware. The lateral spacing between mounting holes is 100 mm, while the vertical pitch measures 450 mm, allowing the chassis to align with pre-punched control panels. This mounting pattern supports efficient installation during new equipment builds or retrofits. The unit supports single-unit and parallel operating modes, allowing it to serve one inverter or operate with additional regenerative units when the application requires higher return current.
