The C5 COMBICONTROL Units series is a KEB family of programmable controllers designed for direct connection of up to eight KEB F5 frequency inverters or servo axes through HSP5/485 interfaces.
The platform combines CPU, memory, internal flash storage, a real-time clock, Ethernet, serial communication, and local digital I/O in a compact DIN-rail-mounted IP20 housing. Standard configurations include eight digital inputs and eight digital outputs, while certain versions also add a PROFIBUS-DP slave interface for exchange of process data and parameter information with higher-level control systems. The series is programmed in IEC 61131-3 using CoDeSys and supports fast cyclic or synchronous axis communication with cycle times down to 1 ms, depending on the connected axes and application setup. It is intended for machine-control applications that need centralized logic, direct multi-axis integration, local I/O handling, and communication access for commissioning, diagnostics, and parameter adjustment.
