Product Description:
The 09.C5.B30-1000 is an automation controller produced by KEB for the C5 Combicontrol Units series. It functions as the central coordinator for multi-axis drives and machine I/O, linking motion hardware with higher-level supervisory systems in industrial plants. By combining a fast axis interface with an integrated fieldbus port, the device simplifies the synchronization of drives, sensors, and actuators on assembly lines, packaging machines, and other equipment that benefits from deterministic control.
This controller draws a maximum of 5 W of control power, so panel heat dissipation and power-supply sizing remain modest. Network integration is supported through an Ethernet port that conforms to IEEE 802.3 10Base-T, allowing direct connection to legacy 10 Mbit/s segments for parameter downloads or diagnostics. The enclosure measures 144 × 182 × 76 mm, fitting easily on crowded DIN rails without blocking airflow to neighboring modules. Axis modules can be placed up to 100 m away because the synchronous link supports that cable length when shielded twisted-pair cable is used. Physical connection to the axis bus is made with a screened RJ-45 plug, providing convenient access while maintaining signal integrity in electrically noisy cabinets.
Eight sourcing outputs deliver up to 0.7 A per channel, enabling direct actuation of relays or indicator lamps without external drivers, while the eight digital inputs capture process signals for sequencer logic. Application code resides in 256 KB of program memory, and variable data, recipes, or trend logs are stored separately in 392 KB of nonvolatile memory. Communication with higher-level PLCs occurs through a PROFIBUS DP slave interface presented on a D-Sub female connector. The identification number 0944h allows recognition by standard DP configuration tools. An IP20 housing protects the internal electronics from touch and stray objects when installed inside a closed control cabinet. The housing mounts directly onto a 35 mm rail for straightforward panel assembly.
