The 19.C5.B30-1200 is a programmable controller manufactured by KEB as part of the C5 Combicontrol Units series. It acts as the central logic element in multi-axis automation cells, taking low-voltage power, fieldbus data, and sensor feedback, then issuing synchronized motion commands to connected drives. By combining network communication, onboard processing, and discrete I/O, the device supports coordinated positioning, sequencing, and safety interlocking in compact machine panels.
The controller accepts a supply range of 18...30 VDC and draws only 5 W, so it can run from standard 24-volt control power without adding a separate supply. An integrated Ethernet interface operates at 10/100 MBaud, giving fast parameter access and diagnostic reporting to higher-level PLCs or SCADA stations. Application code and configuration files are stored in 4 MB of flash memory, while program variables execute from 32 MB of SDRAM to maintain real-time cycle times. When the installation relies on fieldbus wiring, the Profibus-DP slave port exchanges 16 input and 16 output words per scan, allowing the host controller to update setpoints and read status without additional gateways.
The unit brings process signals directly into the control task through 8 digital inputs and returns machine states through 8 digital outputs that switch 24-volt transistor stages. For axis-to-drive coordination, there are 8 HSP5 interfaces, each carrying high-speed setpoint data to an inverter. Output drivers can source up to 0.7 A, letting the module actuate relays or indicator lamps without external amplifiers.
