The MDD112B-N-030-N2L-130PB2 is a digital AC motor. Bosch has designed for high-precision applications. The motor can operate at speeds of up to 3000 RPM. The motor performance depends on several factors that include ambient conditions and choice of cooling method. Detailed technical specifications included in the manual are valid for specific ambient conditions that include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature and 0 to 1000 meters installation site elevation. Motor operation within these limits is regarded as proper motor use. Motor operation outside these limits is regarded as improper motor use, as it can lead to property damage and injury to personnel. Bosch will not accept any liability for improper use of its products. Personnel handling MDD motors must be aware of and implement relevant safety instructions.

The MDD112B-N-030-N2L-130PB2 motor comes in a standard housing. Operators have a choice of two cooling methods: surface cooling and natural convection. Motor use with natural convection only requires smooth airflow over the operating motor. Motor use with surface cooling requires installation of an optional blower. The advantage of surface cooling is that it enables motor operates at higher levels of output current and torque. The choice of cooling method is therefore dependent on application load requirements. The MDD112B-N-030-N2L-130PB2 supports digital servo feedback. Its main rotor shaft includes a keyway, which makes it suitable for form-fitting shaft-hub connections. Another feature available on the motor is a 40 Nm blocking brake. The brake is a safety device that prevents accidental shaft rotation. The power cable connects to a socket located on side B of the housing. Only qualified and trained personnel should handle and operate the servo motor.
