The MDD090C-N-030-N2M-110PA0 is an advanced Bosch AC servo motor. It is designed for industrial applications that include textile, robotics, and printing and packaging machines. MDD090 motors are especially well-suited to high-precision applications where an extreme degree of synchronism is required. MDD motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. The permanent magnets of the rotor are made from rare-earth or iron oxide magnetic materials. This makes it possible to construct motors with low inertia. Maintenance-free operation of MDD motors is a result of a brushless motor design and the use of life-time lubricated bearings. MDD motors support temperature monitoring by means of a temperature sensor built into the motor windings prevents overload damage. MDD motors are equipped with a motor feedback especially developed and designed for this product line.

The MDD090C-N-030-N2M-110PA0 servo motor features a multiturn encoder and supports digital servo feedback. The standard servo motor housing is suited to natural convection. Installation of an optional blower allows use with surface cooling. The maximum permitted ambient temperature with rated data is 45 degrees Celsius. The maximum permitted ambient temperature with derated data is 55 degrees Celsius. Rated speed of the MDD090C-N-030-N2M-110PA0 motor is 3000 RPM. The main output shaft on the motor includes a keyway that helps to ensure effective torque transfer to the machine. This type of motor shaft is suitable for form-fitting shaft-hub connections. MDD motors support an optional blocking brake. However the MDD090C-N-030-N2M-110PA0 motor is without a blocking brake. Location of the main power socket is on side A of the motor housing.
