The HLR01.1N-66K0-N02R7-A-007-NNNN brake resistor is designed by Rexroth Indramat to protect the drive controller from the damage caused by regenerated electrical energy. The HLR01.1N-66K0-N02R7-A-007-NNNN braking resistor converts excess electrical energy into thermal energy and then dissipate the energy away from the servo system through a well planned cooling system.  The HLR01.1N-66K0-N02R7-A-007-NNNN brake resistor protects the power circuit of the servo drive from damage by keeping the electrical energy in a tolerated range. The installation of the brake chopper into the servo system is very important for the effective operation of the HLR01.1N-66K0-N02R7-A-007-NNNN brake resistor in the system. The resistor is cost-efficient and ideal for industrial production since it reduces the need for regular repair or replacement of the power circuit in the servo drive. The brake resistor is specifically suited to the HSCO3 servo drive series.

The HLR01.1N-66K0-N02R7-A-007-NNNN brake resistor has an internal Ohmic resistance of 2.7 Ohms. The internal resistance is the major component absorbing excess current in the braking. The Brake resistor also generates a power output of 66 Kilowatts and can absorb a regenerative power as high as 2500Kilowatts. The DC nominal bus voltage of the brake resistor is about 700Volts.

The housing of the HLR01.1N-66K0-N02R7-A-007-NNNN brake resistor is as per IP 20, which means that although it can protect the resistor from solid materials greater than 12.0 millimeters, it offers the resistor no protection from water. Operators can regulate the braking resistor's temperature by taking advantage of the exhaust air produced by the HSO3 servo drive and installing the resistor directly above the servo drive while also maintaining the minimum installation distance specified in the resistor's documentation. This brake resistor can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
