Two essential components comprise the drive controllers in the IndraDrive drive system by Bosch Rexroth: the power section and the control section. The single-axis CSH control sections are components of the drive controllers used in machine tools, handling and mounting systems, and food packaging machines.

The CSH01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW is a configurable CSH control section manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It features two encoder evaluation interfaces that are compatible with encoders with a supply voltage rating of 5V. These include the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 and sense lines, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track. It also has a SERCOS master communication module for communication with higher-level control units. This communication is facilitated via a fiber optic cable which is ordered separately. The control section can easily be mounted and dismounted from the drive controller, but this should not exceed 20 times.

An encoder emulation interface in the CSH01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW emulates absolute value and incremental encoder signals. The control section comes with a standard control panel used for setting the transmission power and field bus transmission rate of the SERCOS module. It also performs functions like setting the drive address, navigating the error memory, and initiating the basic load defaults procedure. The CSH model supports the use of firmware but this must be ordered separately. Its operation can be done at switching frequencies of 2kHz, 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz, while its typical inrush current is 4A. Like other models, the connection points at the CSH control section are equipped with spring terminals and screw terminal blocks. Its maximum installation height is 1,000m.
