Product Description:
The CSB02.1A-ET-EC-PB-NN-NN-NN-FW is a compact motion controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSB Drive Controllers series. Installed between a PLC and a servo drive, it supervises command execution, feedback processing, and safety interlocks for automated machinery. Multi-protocol networking enables the unit to synchronize with conveyors, pick-and-place heads, or indexing tables. This makes it a flexible component for tightly timed manufacturing cells where coordinated motion and signal handling must occur together.
This controller operates from a logic supply of 24 V DC, and its internal electronics draw only 17 W, which simplifies cabinet power budgeting. A Multi-Ethernet backplane gives the CPU deterministic access to real-time traffic, while the front panel provides 7 digital inputs for fast sensor latching and a single analog voltage input for scalable process variables. Two probe inputs capture high-resolution position marks, and the multi-encoder interface reads SSI, EnDat, or TTL formats without additional modules. EtherCAT cabling uses the port pair X25 P1 In / X24 P2 Out, and the controller also supports IEEE 802.3u, has a 1 ms inrush pulse width, and includes two optional expansion slots for safety I/O or additional feedback channels.
Mechanical coordination is limited to 1 axis, so the processor can focus its resources on a single motion channel. Field integration is simplified by the shielded RJ-45 8-pin connector that carries a 100Base-TX link, and this arrangement maintains backward compatibility with systems that rely on classic PROFIBUS motion commands. The compact interface set supports direct connection to common automation networks and feedback devices without requiring a separate communications module. This layout also keeps wiring straightforward in machines that need precise synchronization without adding unnecessary control hardware.
