CCD Motion Controllers are Cross Communication Drives (CCD) devices that act as the “master” for Ethernet-based cross communication between drive controllers.
The CCD interface is based on IEEE 802.3 and uses RJ-45, 8-pin connections with 100Base-TX compatibility for deterministic controller-to-controller data exchange. CCD implementations use two Ethernet connection points (X24 and X25) and provide status and link LED indications to show network availability and active data transmission. The CCD network is intended to be wired with CAT5e-class industrial twisted-pair cabling, supporting long cable runs up to 100 m to a higher-level control and short jumpers for adjacent cabinet devices. In systems where CCD is integrated, the architecture includes both serial and Ethernet-based engineering access while keeping CCD dedicated to cross communication functionality.
