The SC900 family is an economical, high-performance, medium-power single-axis servo drive line designed for resolver-equipped, 3-phase brushless permanent-magnet motors, targeting medium to large OEM volumes but usable in end-user applications as well.
It uses all-digital DSP control with software-set parameters, digital auto-tuning, a Digital Resolver-to-Digital converter with 24-bit position resolution, and sinusoidal current control to reduce torque ripple across the speed range. Four base drive power levels cover 7.5 to 60 A peak output, and the series is specified for up to 18 kW peak output power at 240 VAC in the highest model class. A modular, user-removable option card slot supports configurations such as RS-232/485 setup/command, SERCOS fiber-optic control, and single-axis programmable positioning, and the drive can accept analog or incremental digital commands while also providing emulated quadrature encoder outputs up to 16,384 PPR. Built-in diagnostics and protection include output short-circuit protection, motor PTC over-temperature input, heat-sink temperature monitoring, bus over/under-voltage detection, I·t current limiting behavior tied to thermal conditions, and a front-panel status LED that reports operating states and fault codes.
