Pacific Scientific is an engineering company that manufactures state of the art servo motors, stepper motors, and synchronous motors for industrial automation.

The P22NSXA-LDN-NS-02 is a compact stepper motor produced by Pacific Scientific. The motor has an impressive torque to frame size ration and produces the most amount of torque in NEMA 23 motors. The stepper motor produces a 1.39 Nm torque and has a 6.5 A rated current per winding. This model comes with a polymer encapsulated stator that results in excellent thermal dissipation. This protects the motor from overheating during prolonged periods of operation. The P22NSXA-LDN-NS-02  has an increased fatigue life and can sustain many more cycles of loading. This is because of its oversized bearings (30 mm instead of the normal 22 mm). This also prolongs the motor’s operational life. The motor comes with a full step angle of 1.8 ᵒ and its shaft has a 6.3 mm diameter.

The P22NSXA-LDN-NS-02 has a CE approval. Because of an optimized housing design, the motor has a really efficient cooling mechanism. This model has a 0.42 ohm resistance and 0.8 mH inductance per winding. The motor can sustain an increased amount of radial and axial loads because of its oversized bearings and larger shaft diameter. To ensure a concentric air gap, the model comes with a honed stator and a precise ground rotor. The P22NSXA-LDN-NS-02 is compatible with the smart Sigmax Technology that increases the amount of available torque for any motor. Optionally, a low inertia rotor can be used with this model that allows the shaft to accelerate at very high rates. Because of low inertia, this model is able to achieve the highest dynamics in very short positioning times.
