The P22NSHS-LNS-NS-02 is a compact stepper motor from the NEMA 23 class motors. The motor generates the largest amount of torque in its speed and size range. Because of additional magnets in the stator slots, an increased amount of torque is produced. The motor has a low detent torque that results in smooth microstepping. This model makes use of a new rotor/stator design that generates more torque and enables the motor to achieve greater acceleration rates. This model features neodymium iron boron magnets that are very powerful magnets. Neodynium permanent magnets generate a great amount of flux and energy density. This contributes to greater magnetic flux. Precision ground rotor OD enables the motor to give an unhindered performance because a concentric air gap is ensured.

The P22NSHS-LNS-NS-02 has a customized flange and shaft design. The shaft used for this model has a 6.3 mm diameter that is the largest among NEMA 23 motor shaft diameters. As a result, the P22NSHS-LNS-NS-02 can work with a greater amount of loads that are applied along and perpendicular to the shaft axis. This model has a full 1.8 ᵒ angle. Special arrangements have been made to assist heat dissipation in this model. With the help of exposed lamination aids and a polymer encapsulated rotor, heat is continuously dissipated from the system. As a result, thermal overload and overheating failure are prevented. The model also comes with polymer end bells that have threaded inserts. This results in more freedom while installing encoder and brakes with the system. The P22NSHS-LNS-NS-02 also has an IP 23 standard ingress protection.
