Product Description

The M22NRXA-JDF-M1-00 is a 2-phase, DC Stepper Motor built with Sigmax® technology made by Pacific Scientific. The Sigmax® technology motors come equipped with rear earth magnets between the stator and the core. This technology ensures optimization of motor torque production by limiting flux losses and by diverting the magnetic flux at the right points. The M22NRXA-JDF-M1-00 motor is designed to meet all the specifications defined for NEMA 23 motors. This model comes with NEMA mounting and it can easily be installed in a variety of orientations. This 2-stack motor comes with a receptacle type of termination for which, leaded mating connectors can be ordered separately.

The rotor incorporated in this motor is a low inertia type rotor. Low inertia rotors are best suited for applications where the highest possible acceleration rates are desired. This motor is offered in a double shaft configuration. The rear shaft extension is a powerful feature as it can help designers in the construction of budget machines. The M22NRXA-JDF-M1-00 is not offered with a factory-installed encoder but the design of the motor supports the addition of an encoder. The rear shaft extension with encoder mounting provision offers easy installation of position feedback hardware.

This motor offers the largest shaft diameter in its class i.e. 0.375”. The availability of a greater diameter shafts assists in the smooth operation of the motor and makes it capable of withstanding higher axial and radial loads. The bearings of this motor are also oversized in contrast to the other NEMA 23 size motors available on the market. The M22NRXA-JDF-M1-00 is a versatile motor as it can be operated to produce a holding torque of 230 oz.-in while operating in either parallel or series configuration. Class B insulation is used for the windings of this motor.
