Pacific Scientific Company is a renowned manufacturer of high-performance servo drives, controllers, and motors among other products. The SC900 servo drives from Pacific Scientific are used globally in different industrial applications. The installation as well as wiring of the servo drives should only be completed by qualified personnel who are knowledgeable about electronics, electronic as well as mechanical components installation, and all regulations applicable to wiring. These drives are capable of operating in a direct line of power supply. Their units are isolated and thus external isolation transformers are not required. The power connectors provide a safe level of inrush current to the servo drives.

These drives don't require ranging switches and/or voltage selection so as to operate within the recommended input ranges of voltage. The users of these drives are responsible for supplying the appropriate circuit breakers and/or fuses in the power lines of the motors so as to conform to the local electrical codes. The required control input power relies upon the plugged in option card. The SC900 servo drives mostly have 2 pluggable power connections.

The SC900 servo drives can be operated with/without some accessories like plug-in cards among others. However, these drives should be configured to set the parameters upon arrival from the manufacturer before they become operative. The non-volatile Personality EEPROM memory of the OC950-603-01 option card or drive is used to save all adjustments after the configuration of the drive. Upon saving the adjustments in the internal non-volatile memory, the OC950-603-01 option card can be removed. Once the option card is removed, the parameters will always be loaded by the drive from the internal memory when the drive is powered up.
