Designed to work with SCR type controllers the SR3642-4822-7-56BC-CU is a 90V PMDC motor from KOLLMORGEN. This motor is designed for applications where continuous motion is required. The shaft of the motor is supported by two, high-grade ball bearings. In this motor, the magnetic field is created and maintained through permanent magnets. The windings of this motor are protected with H class insulation. You can safely deploy this motor for continuous operation in environments where the ambient temperature remains within a range of -20 to 40 degrees C. the SR3642-4822-7-56BC-CU can be operated in temperatures beyond 40 degrees centigrade provided that the mode of operation is cyclic. For applications where speed monitoring is required, you can acquire a tachometer adapter kit separately. The motor`s speed feedback from a tachometer adapter kit can be routed to your motion control system. 

This model is offered with a NEMA 56C frame and a closed ventilated enclosure without a shaft-mount fan. However, the design characteristics of the motor allow it to continues operation without overheating provided that the operating temperatures remain within the vendor-defined range. This 1/2 horsepower motor draws around 4.7 amperes of current from 90 VDC sources while rotating at its full speed.

The SR3642-4822-7-56BC-CU is rated to produce 18.0 lbs.-in continuous torque and requires a peak current of 74 amperes.
