Product Description

The AKM42E-EKCNR-00 synchronous servomotor from the house of Kollmorgen is designed for drives meant for equipment with high requirements for dynamics, including machine tools, textile and packing machinery, and industrial robots. The servomotor should be operated only under the ambient conditions. As far as packing is concerned, the motor should be packed using a cardboard packing equipped with Instapak® foam cushion. The flange size of the servomotor is 84 mm and its rotor length is 2. The maximum bus voltage of the servomotor is 640 VDC. The unit comes with E winding type and an open keyway shaft. The peak current of the motor is 11.0 A and its peak torque is 11.5 Nm. The servomotor sports an in-built resolver that acts as the standard feedback element. The servo amplifier evaluates the resolver position and supplies sinusoidal currents to the device. The feedback systems that are provided alternatively seem to change the motor length and cannot be retrofitted. The AKM servomotor should be stored, transported, housed, operated, and maintained with caution. Its housing must be earthed safely to the protective earth busbar in the switch cabinet. A low-resistance earth connection is required to ensure electrical safety. When the motor is under operation, one should never unplug the connectors. If the connectors are unplugged when the motor is live, it could result in severe injury, extensive material damage, and even death. The device should be checked for bearing noise once every 2500 operating hours. If any noises are detected, the device should be switched off and the bearing must be replaced. The device should not be opened for cleaning purposes as it will invalidate the warranty.
