The VMA Power Modules series is a Bosch Rexroth supply-module family used in the ServoDyn D drive system.
The series includes versions with a ballast switch as well as versions with current regeneration, so the supply module is selected according to the required DC-link and braking concept. In the ServoDyn D architecture, the VMA modules provide the central supply function for the drive assembly and interface with the connected drive modules through the DC link and cross-connections. The modules also include status, warning, and error indication via a 7-segment display and monitor operating conditions such as DC-link voltage, heat-sink temperature, module supply voltage, and braking load. Overall, the VMA Power Modules series is intended as the supply stage of a modular ServoDyn D system rather than as a standalone general-purpose power supply.
