The front-facing keypad panel is made up of a 5 mm thick aluminum plate with chamfered edges. The keypad is protected by an environmental-proof polyester foil membrane that is resistant to chemicals. The VCP05.2DSN-003-NN-01-PW has an inbuilt battery that preserves the data in the SRAM and supplies the real-time clock with power. The anticipated battery life is five years, even under unfavorable operating conditions. Whenever the battery power is low, a message "Change battery" is generated automatically on the VCP 05 display screen. The battery should be changed approximately after four years as part of routine maintenance of the device. When replacing the battery, you can prevent short circuitry in the collection boxes by insulating the poles of each battery with insulation tape or putting every single battery into a plastic bag.

The VCP05.2DSN-003-NN-01-PW operator terminal is maintenance-free, and only a few parts are subject to wear and should be replaced after a certain number of operating hours.
