VAU Uninterruptable Power Supplies

The VAU Uninterruptible Power Supplies from Bosch Rexroth are DC-UPS modules designed to keep 24 VDC control power available for a limited time when the primary 24 V supply fails, primarily for IndraControl panel and control-cabinet PCs.

The series accepts a 24 V input within a specified tolerance band and switches to the internal energy store with a sub-millisecond transfer so the connected device sees a continuous 24 V output during a dropout. Output capability depends on the variant, with models certified at 240 W class (up to 10 A) and others intended for PC buffering at 72 W class (up to 3 A) with a defined short bridging window measured in minutes when the battery is sufficiently charged. Status and controlled shutdown behavior are supported through a communication interface to the PC, allowing the system to issue a shutdown command after an adjustable delay and then remove output power after the buffer time expires. The VAU units are specified for industrial cabinet installation with defined ambient limits and EMC class-A expectations, and they include front-panel diagnostics plus service functions such as a reset feature to drop the output and reboot the connected PC when needed.
