The VAU01.1U-024-024-240-NN is an uninterruptible power supply built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VAU Uninterruptable Power Supplies series. It is intended to back up 24 V DC control electronics during mains loss, maintaining logic, fieldbus, and memory functions long enough for an orderly shutdown inside IndraControl V automation platforms. Standard construction with a USB interface lets service software query battery status and event data without disconnecting the unit from the DIN rail.
The housing carries a protection class of IP 20, so it is suited for mounting inside a closed control cabinet. Physical dimensions are kept compact with a depth of 132.7 mm and a height of 158.6 mm, simplifying placement next to 24 V power supplies and PLC hardware. On the DC input side, the module can draw up to 12 A; two amperes of that current are routed to the internal charger that tops off the lead-acid battery string. During standby operation, the converter section can return a continuous 240 W to the load, and it does so while regulating around a nominal bus of DC 24 V. These ratings establish the thermal envelope that must be considered when grouping several VAU units on a single rail.
When utility power fails, the UPS can source up to 10 A to field controllers, servo drives, and I/O. Total consumption at full load plus charging never exceeds 288 W, allowing upstream 24 V supplies to be sized appropriately. Energy storage is provided by electrolytic capacitors rated at 5600 µF, giving additional ride-through for sub-second dips.
