The RM Profibus Modules series is a Bosch Rexroth family of PROFIBUS-DP bus modules designed to connect pneumatic valve block systems with multiple plug connectors to a decentralized fieldbus control architecture.
The series operates as a PROFIBUS-DP slave and is intended for use with Rexroth valve block systems such as the VTS 02, HF 03/HF 02, and MC ranges. Across the series, station addressing is set by onboard rotary switches, bus speed is detected automatically from 9.6 kBaud up to 12 MBaud, and integrated bus termination can be activated directly at the module. The modules also monitor logic and valve-control supply voltage and provide diagnostic indication for conditions such as undervoltage, valve driver overload, and bus communication faults. Depending on network layout, the platform supports fieldbus cable lengths up to 1.2 km without a repeater and allows up to 32 bus participants per segment, with larger node counts possible when repeaters are used.
