The MTS-R01.2-M2-P2-FW is a powerful small-format SPS module produced by Bosch Rexroth. The MTS-R01 is protected by the IP20 protection category which protects it from solid particles having a diameter greater than 12.5 mm but it will not provide any protection against liquids. The MTS-R01 module can operate at 24V DC voltage which has been derived from an alternating current source using a power supply. The cable having a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm² is used for the power supply and a 6 mm² cable is used for grounding the device. The MTS-R01 NC module is a part of the MTC-R control system and installed in an RMB02.2 rack on TS 35 × 27 × 15 DIN rail using two retaining screws. The model occupies only 1 slot in the RMB02.2 rack and other slots are filled by other SPS modules according to the requirements.

 The model MTS-R01.2-M2-P2-FW is specially used as a machine tool controller for various applications. The model is equipped with RS-232/RS-485 programming interface, RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 general-purpose serial interface, and a PROFIBUS-DP slave interface. The PROFIBUS-DP slave module can be provided with a maximum of 368 bytes I/O in the process image and it is used for effective communication between the device and other input/output devices. The model can operate ideally between the temperature ranges of 0 to +50 degree Celsius at a maximum height of 1500 meters above sea level. The model can operate under humid conditions at the maximum humidity of 75% without condensation as per DIN 40 040 Class F.
