Bosch Indramat manufactures the MTS-R01.2-M2-NN-FW SPS module. It features 2 series, mechanical design for the RECO unit, and an SPS mode with a coprocessor. The firmware should be ordered as a separate subitem. It is part of the MTC200-R power CNC controller that consists of the NC and SPS modules. They communicate with each other through a separate internal local bus that is found on an adapter card. This combination offers a solution for the machine tool controller on the factory floor. It consists of an additional module U1 that can be equipped with an optional interface.

The additional interfaces can be a serial interface module, INTERBUS, PROFIBUS-DP master module or PROFIBUS-DP slave module. To enable communication with external peripherals, the RS232 or RS485 is used. It enables the MTS-R01.2-M2-NN-FW to be connected with other SPS modules, programs, and PC. It is housed inside an RMB02.2 rack together with the CNC controller. The rack is mounted in a switchgear cabinet to protect the combination from liquids and external objects. This type requires one slot on the rack. The MTS-R01.2-M2-NN-FW can be mounted side by side with other modules. You may leave a clearance for additional modules.

 If left dormant for more than six months, it loses data such as the SPS user program. It has a maximum current consumption and heat loss of 450mA and 12.6W respectively, weighs approximately 1kg, and measures 41.5 x 192 x 156. The protection rating is IP 20 according to EN 60529 and the ambient conditions include operating and storage temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees and -25 to 70 degrees respectively. The permissible relative humidity if 75% (operation) and 95% (transport). It comes with a one year warranty.
