The Bosch Rexroth MDD112C-N-030-N2L-180GB0 is a digital AC servo motor. It is made with permanent magnets and supports electronic commutation. Components of MDD motors include a laminated core with permanent magnets, windings, rotor shaft, and optional blocking brake. MDD motors are maintenance-free due to the brushless design and use of life-time lubricated bearings. Because of a sealed housing and IP65 rating, MDD motors can be used within the working area of the machine even under poor environmental conditions. MDD motors include an integrated sensor for monitoring of winding temperature. This feature helps to prevent overload damage.  Drives with MDD motors are well suited to commercial and industrial applications such as robotics, handing equipment and transfer facilities. MDD112 series motors are especially well suited to high-precision applications that require a high degree of synchronism.

The installation of MDD motors is simple and straightforward. Pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to the motor shaft. The motor can be installed in any orientation. The motor flange design with throughholes permits mounting as per design IM B5 or as per design IM B4. Bosch provides a range of ready-made cables for eliminating additional installation work. Housing of the MDD112C-N-030-N2L-180GB0 is suited to surface cooling and natural convection. The nominal speed rating is 3000 RPM. The motor balance class is standard and complies with DIN VDE 0530. The shaft B end is also standard. The MDD112C-N-030-N2L-180GB0 supports digital servo feedback. The centering diameter of the servo motor is 180 millimeters. The motor has a plain shaft. Customers can also select motors with shaft that have a keyway. The power socket is located on side B of the housing.
