The brake resistors from Rexroth are also widely used for electrical drives and converter systems.  

The Rexroth Group has developed a series of high-power brake resistors by the name of HLR01. This series has a wide range of brake resistors which are suited to different energy level consumptions, power handling capabilities, and braking speeds. The HLR01.1N-24K0-N07R2-A-007-NNNN brake resistor also belongs to the same series. This brake resistor weighs about 80 kg and stands 710 mm tall. It has a 795 x 490 mm area and it mounts directly on top of the converter drive. These are particularly developed to work with HCS03 converter drives and provide better insulation because of their high dielectric strength. 

This brake resistor can consume up to 2592 Kilowatt second energy. The braking power duration is one of the highest among other HLR01 series models i.e. 24 Kilowatts. As compared to other models, it has a relatively low braking resistance of just 8.1 Ohms which allows it to bypass maximum current during the braking operation. It also allows for rapid braking and makes the system more efficient. The maximum braking power of this resistor is 83 kilowatts and the on-time duration is 31 seconds while its cycle time is consistent with other HLR models which is 120 seconds
