The HLR01.1N-22K0-N03R5-B-007-NNNN is a brake resistor designed for heavy duty applications. This device can be used to bring high speed motors to an instant halt. Typically, this device is used with HSC03 converters. The device can be easily transported to the installation area and has a reasonable weight. The brake resistor can be installed directly above the HSC03 converter system. When placed above the converter, the brake resistor can utilize the extracted airflow of the converter. A high amount of heat is generated during the motor braking process. The airflow from the converter is used to dissipate this heat through the process of forced convection. Forced convection through a blower allows continuous heat dissipation at a rapid pace. This allows the device to function continuously without overheating or failing due to excessive heat build up. When using this brake resistor, the excess voltage is diverted away from the HSC03 converter, and an overvoltage fault is avoided.

The HLR01.1N-22K0-N03R5-B-007-NNNN absorbs the additional braking power which prevents the overvoltage fault. The device has compact dimensions. This enables easy installation in areas that have tight installation spaces. This device is capable of regenerative braking beside rheostatic braking. In rheostatic braking mode, the device converts the motor kinetic energy into electrical energy that is dissipated in the brake resistor.
