Product Description

The HLR01.1N-09K5-N13R0-A-007-NNNN braking resistor from Bosch Rexroth features fully encapsulated flameproof elements that protect it from harmful environmental factors. This resistor supports extreme pulse-loading with its compact size as well as robust design. The product features a high dielectric strength. It can be installed easily due to the compact arrangement of placing the converter that it is used with, just below the resistor. The unit weighs 22kg. The resistor is intended for use between an ambient temperature range of 0°C and 40°C.

This braking resistor has a minimum allowed cycle time of 120s. It has an IP 20 degree of protection according to IEC 60529 specifications. It comes with a Type B construction style and standard design. There must be minimum clearances of 1,000mm and 300mm at the top and bottom of the device when it is mounted. It features a temperature rise of over 65K with the minimum distances. The resistor supports a natural cooling mechanism via the airflow extracted from the converter. It produces thermal energy from the kinetic energy that is generated. 

This device has a resistance of 13 Ohms and a continuous output power of 9.5kW. The HLR series unit supports a free mounting assembly. The screws used for mounting have a tightening torque of 2Nm. The resistor features a peak power rating of 46kW. The product should be placed only below those devices that are made of incombustible materials. Its surface can exceed a temperature of 60°C during or soon after the operation and should not be touched during this period. The device has a switch-on threshold of 820V to 850V if regenerative supply units are used.
