The Rexroth DKS01.2-W100A-D is the basic unit of a DKS series servo drive. It is designed to operate with three phase input at 230 Volts AC (10% tolerance permitted). The drive features an integrated protection system which shuts off the drive to prevent damage. Integrated dynamic brake system is also available on the DKS01.2-W100A-D which decelerates the drive in the event of malfunction in the electronic circuitry. Monitoring and control of the holding brake is integrated inside the drive unit. Plug-in modules can be installed inside the drive to match it to the required application. A complete drive system is formed by the combination of a MDD AC motor and a servo drive such as the DKS01.2-W100A-D. A configured servo drive is comprised of the following components: basic unit, software module, plug-in card and command interface card.

The basic unit comes with empty slots for plug-in cards. Types of available command interface cards include SERCOS, analog and positioning type. The software module contains the firmware and operating parameters. Type of available plug-in cards include position interface cards and I/O cards. Rated current of the DKS01.2-W100A-D is 100 Amps. The drive is rated for standard noise emissions. Peak current rating of the drive is also 100 Amps and the continuous current rating is 50 Amps. The power requirement at maximum drive loading is 11 kVA. Voltage on the internal DC bus is 300 Volts. The drive dissipates heat inside cabinet. Permissible operating temperature range is 5 to 45 degrees Celsius. The drive enclosure is rated for IP 10 protection. Weight of the DKS01.2-W100A-D is approximately 11 kilograms.
