It converts incoming three-phase energy to a regulated DC bus and modulates that bus for servo axes, allowing precise speed and torque regulation on factory handling, packaging, and machining lines. Its design version 3 housing encloses power electronics and logic that coordinate with supply and feedback interfaces used throughout modular automation cells.
The power stage can deliver a continuous output of 40 A, which is the maximum motor phase current the device can sustain without thermal derating. Regulation occurs on a DC link that sits at 700 V, giving sufficient voltage headroom for fast torque transients. Pulse-width modulation is generated at up to 800 Hz carrier frequency when the switching clock is 8 kHz, supporting high-resolution velocity control of low-inductance motors. Energy storage on the bus is provided by a 0.27 mF capacitor bank, which stabilizes the link during regenerative events and limits voltage ripple. A built-in soft-start network centered on a 60 Ω resistor limits inrush current so upstream circuit breakers are not tripped when the cabinet is energized.

Continuous bleeder power of 0.15 kW and a 10 kW peak absorber channel excess regenerative energy during abrupt deceleration, which helps prevent overvoltage on the DC link.
