Product Description:
The DDS02.1-W050-D is a digital AC servo drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DDS Drive Controllers series. It regulates current and commutation for a matched servo motor and connects to higher-level motion systems through its onboard diagnostics interface. In industrial automation, this controller supplies regulated DC-bus energy and closed-loop feedback processing so servo axes can hold speed and position under varying loads. This type of controller is commonly installed in automation cabinets where the drive must manage torque, velocity, and position commands from an external control platform.
The unit delivers a rated continuous output of 40 A from an internal power stage that operates at 300 VDC. The drive belongs to Line 02 and is Version 1. Its IP20 housing helps protect against accidental contact, and parameter access is provided through a front-mounted 15-pin D-Sub connector. Digital servo feedback from the attached motor arrives over a dedicated socket, allowing the drive to align phase current within one control cycle. That closed-loop signal path lets the controller correct rotor position and speed errors quickly during dynamic motion. A humidity tolerance of up to 95 % relative humidity allows operation in most cabinet-conditioned environments.
Peak demands during acceleration are handled with up to 50 A of output. Internal air cooling requires cabinet airflow across the heat sink, and the housing measures 390 mm in height, 105 mm in width, and 325 mm in depth. The compact front width helps the module fit standard rack positions in control cabinets. The rated installation elevation is 1000 m, and thermal derating begins above 55 °C, while full current is available at or below 45 °C. Cabinet conditions must also keep absolute moisture below 25 g/m³, and storage is permitted from −30 °C to 85 °C. The electronics receive auxiliary power through ±15 V and +24 V signal supplies that provide 150 mA, 150 mA, and 500 mA respectively.
