The Bosch DDS02.1-W050-DS01-00 is a digital drive controller. The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-00 is suited to applications such as packaging machines, textile machines, printing machines, woodworking machines, robots and grinding machines. The controller is microprocessor-controlled and offers excellent dynamic response and precision. The architecture of the controller is modular. The firmware has to be ordered separately. Different communication modules re supported by DDS drive. The DDS02.1-W050-DS01-00 features a SERCOS communication module. The rated current output is 50 Amps. Motor feedback type supported by the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-00 is digital servo feedback. This features enables the drive controller to receive information about motor speed, torque and other parameters, which in turn enables the controller to control the motor operating parameters. The basic unit of the controller has slots for designated and optional modules.
Designated modules include the software module and the command communication module. The designated slot for the software module is U5. The designation slot for the command communication module is U1. The drive firmware and operating parameters are stored on the software module, which can be copied and can also be moved easily to another drive if required. Three slots on the basic unit of the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-00 are available for plug in modules. The module slots and many interfaces are located on the front panel of the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-00. These include RS-232 interface for PC or VT100 terminal connection, motor feedback connection, motor holding brake connection, motor temperature monitor connection and DC link circuit connection. A two-digit LED status display on the front panel allows monitoring of status, alarm and fault messages. A fault reset button is also provided on the front panel of the DDS02.1-W050-DS01-00 drive controller. The drive is an air cooled device.
