They are combined with the various firmware versions and operating panels to meet the requirements of these applications. The control units differ in performance, function, and configuration. They are typically supplied as part of the drive controller and are designed for single and multi-axis control tasks.

The CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MEM-L1-S-NN-FW is an ADVANCED control unit that meets the highest demands in performance and dynamics. Its communication module is the SERCOS III interface, an Ethernet-based communication system. Its areas of application include handling and mounting systems, packaging and food machines, printing and paper processing machines, and machine tools. The control unit is equipped with an encoder evaluation interface for encoders with a supply voltage of 5V. It also has an encoder evaluation module for the emulation of absolute and incremental encoders in SSI format.

The control panel of the CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MEM-L1-S-NN-FW is the standard type with a clear single-line display and four keys. The single-line display shows operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings. The four keys are used by the commissioning engineer to commission the control unit. They are used to set the drive address, set the transmission power, and the field bus transmission rate of the SERCOS III. The standard control panel is also used to establish the position data reference, have a look at the error memory, and start the basic load defaults procedure. Its safety option is the starting lockout which inhibits it from starting without an operator.
