The Bosch Rexroth drive controller is composed of a power section and a control section. The control section is plugged into the power section and can be safely mounted and dismounted up to 20 times. Those in the CDB series are double-axis control sections, and they perform the functions of two digital axes integrated into one control unit. The drive controllers with these control sections are components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system and are used in handling and mounting systems, machine tools, and food processing and packaging machines.

The CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-NNN-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW is a CDB control section model of the Version 1 type. It is a configurable double-axis control section in the BASIC UNIVERSAL range equipped with two encoder evaluation interfaces. The interfaces are designed to connect encoders with 5V supply voltage ratings. They include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 and sense lines, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The control section also features a SERCOS communication interface that uses a fiber optic cable for the connection of the device to higher-level control units.

An encoder emulation interface on the CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-NNN-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW emulates absolute value and incremental encoder signals for further evaluation. These signals do not require an external power supply for their isolation and are obtained from the circuit. The standard control panel on this control section features a single-line display used to set the drive address, look through the error memory, and establish the position data reference.
