The control section is an integral part of the Bosch Rexroth drive controller. It is plugged into the power section and enables a wide range of applications of drive controllers. These applications include handling and mounting systems, packaging and food machines, machine tools, and printing and paper processing machines.

The CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-MEM-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW is a  configurable Version 1 control section in the CDB series. It is a device of the BASIC UNIVERSAL range and is suited to double-axis operations. It features an encoder evaluation interface for encoder systems with a supply voltage of 5V. These include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track and the 5V-TTL square wave encoder with a reference track. Like other CDB01 control sections, it has two digital inputs which can function as a single analog voltage input. The inclusion of an analog I/O extension equips the control section with access to a higher number of analog channels with better resolution. For communication technology, it is equipped with a SERCOS Interface, which uses fiber optic cables for connection to higher-level control units.

The pulse switching frequencies of the CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-MEM-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW include 2kHz, 4kHz, and 8kHz. Its encoder emulation interface can function without an external power supply. This interface permits the emulation of absolute value and incremental encoder signals for further evaluation by the control unit. According to IEC 61800-3, the control section is a product of category C3. It is commissioned via a standard control panel that executes a range of vital functions. They include accessing the error memory, setting the drive address, etc. The use of firmware is supported here; however, it must be ordered as a separate sub-item.
