The ADF134D-B05TA0-BS07-A2N1 is a servo motor designed and manufactured by Rexroth. It is suitable for use in applications such as metal forming, printing, packaging and paper processing. The motor is part of Rexroth ADF motor Series. To reach their maximum power, motors in this family are supported DIAX04 and ECODRIVE controllers. The controller can either assume the continuous operation mode, intermittent operation mode, or the maximum operation mode. Surpassing the intermittent load in main spindle applications can shorten the service life of the controller due to increased temperature cycle fluctuations. To meet higher intermittent requirements, a controller designed to accommodate a higher continuous current is needed.

The ADF134D-B05TA0-BS07-A2N1, as with other ADF series motors, is liquid-cooled, has a wide speed range and a wide field weakening range. To effectively communicate with the interfaced controller, the motor’s rotor position is measured by the feedback encoder and the signal sent back to the drive controller. The motor feedback has a resolution of 1/2000000th revolution. Also, Rexroth ADF series motors have a shaft extension that provides a place to attach an extra position encoder on the other side of the motor. For mounting, motors in this series support flange mounting.

The ADF134D-B05TA0-BS07-A2N1, as with other motors in the same series, has holding brakes that can be used to hold the output shaft into position. The motor is maintenance free which gives it a longer service life. For optimal performance, Rexroth ADF main spindle motors are designed to be operated in an environment with an ambient temperature ranging from a minimum of 0 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 45 degrees Celsius. The cooling liquid should be checked after every 1000 hours to ascertain whether they are cooling the motor as needed.
