Product Description
The 2AD132D-B05OA1-BD03/S002 is a splendid three-phase induction motor by Rexroth Bosch, featuring a squirrel cage design. Induction motors typically operate at a speed that is less than the synchronous speed. Squirrel-cage motors, such as the 2AD132D-B05OA1-BD03/S002, are desirable for high-torque and power applications due to their versatility and efficiency. Compared to other induction motors, squirrel-cage motors accelerate faster and achieve higher nominal torque ratings. Rexroth’s 2AD product line houses some of the best squirrel-cage motors available on the market today. Motors derived from the 2AD family are characterized by their high-speed capabilities and high nominal torque output.
During nameplate conditions, the 2AD132D-B05OA1-BD03/S002 can drive loads at a torque rating of 140 Nm. With this output torque, the shaft transmits an equivalent power of 22 kW. Owing to its massive size and high-quality BD winding, this motor can maintain its nominal torque at a fairly wide speed range of 1500 rpm to 7500 rpm. At higher speeds, however, the amount of radial force that the 2AD132D-B05OA1-BD03/S002 can tolerate decreases. Based on Rexroth’s official documentation, the radial force tolerance of 2AD motors exhibits a nonlinear relationship with the distance of force application. The radial force tolerance also depends on the average shaft speed. At higher shaft speeds, the radial force tolerance decreases.
Generally, 2AD motors can withstand high radial forces in the kilonewtons range. They cannot, however, withstand high axial forces. For 2AD motors with a 132D body frame, the maximum axial force is 30 N. The 2AD132D-B05OA1-BD03/S002 employs a high-resolution motor feedback and a turnable terminal box connected to side A or the shaft side. This motor does not come with a holding or blocking brake.
