The 7XV Remote Valve Terminals series is a family of B&R compact I/O modules designed to connect standard multipin valve terminals to an X2X Link-based automation system.
The series is available in versions for 8, 16, or 24 valve outputs and uses 25-pin DSUB valve-terminal connections, with both IP20 and IP67 variants for cabinet-mounted and decentralized installations. It was developed as an alternative to manufacturer-specific fieldbus valve terminals or individually wired output arrangements, allowing different valve-terminal brands to be integrated with the same control structure. The modules use 24 VDC high-side digital outputs and include electrical isolation between the X2X Link interface and the output side, along with protection functions for short circuit, overload, and overtemperature conditions. The 7XV Remote Valve Terminals series is intended for distributed valve control applications that require standardized interfacing, compact installation, and direct integration into B&R machine control architectures.
